Supplies for Seniors

Our seniors deserve more—we won’t turn our backs on them!

We Love the Senior Community here at New Business Gateway!

The current state of the economy has placed a heavy burden on many working-class and lower-income seniors, leaving them in some of the most difficult financial situations. After years of struggle, many of our beloved seniors are feeling hopeless and forgotten. While we may not have the power to change national policies or fix the economy, we believe we can still make a meaningful difference—starting right here in our own community.

That’s why we’re taking the initiative to support seniors in New Jersey who need it most.

We’ve organized a dedicated group of volunteers to gather and distribute essential supplies—offering help where it counts and reminding our seniors that they are not alone.

We are collecting the following supplies:

  • Canned Protein Foods (Tuna, Mackerel, Salmon)

  • Cereals (low sugar preferred)

  • Dishwashing Soaps, Shampoos, Conditioners

  • Dog / Cat Food (dried kibble based preferred)

  • Multivitamins and Supplements

  • Oatmeal

  • Peanut Butter, Jam/Jelly preserves

  • Rice, Pastas

  • Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Sponges

  • Water, Carnation Milk, Nutrament, Ensure, Boost, Gatorade etc.

We also gratefully accept monetary donations, which will be dedicated exclusively to covering fuel costs for the delivery and pickup of these essential supplies. Our volunteers generously give their time and effort without compensation, driven purely by their kindness and commitment to this cause.

Why Is Supporting Our Seniors a Priority?

The current economic climate has significantly impacted working-class and lower-income seniors, with recent studies showing that nearly 40% of seniors in these groups struggle to meet basic financial needs. Many have faced prolonged hardship, leading to increased rates of stress and hopelessness among this vulnerable population. While we acknowledge that changing the broader economy or government policies is beyond our reach, we remain committed to doing our part to support and uplift these seniors in our community.
